The Avalon Dragons is a local breast cancer survivor dragon boat team. The Avalon Dragon Boating Association consists of breast cancer survivors, their friends, families and interested individuals who share the goal of promoting dragon boating on the Avalon Peninsula and throughout the province.

Some of the things the Avalon Dragons strive to achieve:
– To support each other, improve our physical, emotional and spiritual health, celebrate life and have fun.
– To support our friends, families and communities by showing them that there can be life after breast cancer.
– To raise awareness about the role of exercise and a healthy lifestyle in preventing breast cancer and its recurrence.
