A little history…

Salsa in St. John’s is a community group of Volunteers, Dancers, and Businesses with the sole purpose of networking and promoting anything Salsa or Latin Dance! Salsa in St. John’s was originally created as a facebook group in July 2008 by Judy D as an informal volunteer-run dance information and event sharing group. It’s a place where members can see/write on the wall and view the “upcoming events” documents for any salsa or Latin dance events. Past events directly organized by Judy D via Salsa in St. John’s were often fundraisers for multicultural organizations or for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  Most recently, Judy has handed over leadership of the organization to Stacy Ryan, Latin Dance instructor and owner of Bailamos St. John’s.

Dedicated group members continually work to find new venues and organize new events for Salsa in St. John’s in order to keep our salsa dance community alive! Updates on Latin dance news is available via our Salsa in St. John’s fb group and fb pages. Links for both are found on the home page of this website.
