Saturday Aug 24th: Salsa and Merengue Workshop with Bailamos St. John’s

4th Floor Rehearsal Room

Session 1: 6-7pm – Salsa Workshop Salsa Turn Patterns – Must have a good knowledge of all the basic salsa steps and beginner partner signals.
**This session will work on technicalities and beginner turn patterns.
**This session requires knowledge of the basic steps and is for the students of the beginner 2 salsa class. Anyone who is comfortable with all the basic salsa steps and dancing with a partner are also welcome to join. No partner required.
Session 2: 7-8pm – Meringue
**This workshop will introduce the dance Merengue.
**Anyone can join this class. No partner or experience required.Dress: Comfortable clothing, dance shoes or socks

Salsa Party @ AnneXe 32 George Street

Saturday Aug 24th, 10pm-3am – The evening part of RIAC’s Summer Cultural Festival!

YES there’s a salsa party this Saturday!!! It’s hosted by Refugee-Immigrant Advisory-Council as the conclusion to their all-day Summer Cultural Festival.*
Featuring guest DJ Guille Zambrano, with his hot list of Latin hits: salsa, merengue, reggaeton and more! World dance music will also be played from Judy D’s collection, with music available by request from DanceHall and Bollywood to Middle Eastern.
So get your dance feet on…it’s gonna be a PARTY!
Cover is by donation – $5 minimum suggested 🙂

Mini salsa lesson at 7pm then social dancing until 10pm.
We’ll play all your Latin favorites…salsa, merengue, bachatta, reggaeton and more!

It’s Summer and the Days are Hot…well the Dancing is anyways! Speaking of outdoors, we have Salsa By The Lake, Quidi Vidi Bandstand, on Fri July 12th (or Sat July 13th if it rains on Friday). 7pm-11pm, pay-what-you-can, all ages event. Bring your own SOFT drinks/snacks to share. Hosted by FarOut Fitness and Salsa in St. John’s

Exciting news!!! Coffee & Company on Water St is welcoming us to host some drop-in Sunday Salsa Socials, 7pm-9:30pm over the summer months! Mini beginners lessons will be available at 7pm (Pay-What-You-Can fee). I’ll be there this Sunday wearing my Canada Day red and whites!
