With all the super salsa events coming up, we decided to postpone the Saturday Salsa Socials @ Turkey Joe’s for the next month or so. When it returns, we’ll post here and on facebook. But don’t worry, there’s LOTS of Latin dance events to keep you going til Christmas!

Sun Dec 1st: Salsa Party – (Free Admission) Sponsored by Quidi Vidi Breweries – Hosted by Salsa in St. John’s and Bailamos St. John’s. 8pm-midnight. Quidi Vidi Breweries is sponsoring a Salsa event by donating their beautiful venue.
Let’s invite the whole city and have a big party!!! We want to show everyone how great our group is and how Salsa and Latin Dance can be a great way to meet new people and foster heath and wellness.
We will have a Zumba class to start the evening, a salsa lesson and some dance demonstrations too!!!
Sat Dec 7th: Salsa Party “Fundraiser for a Filmmaker” (Cuban filmmaker Tamara Segura) 7pm-midnight. Feat. Ritmo Latino’s DJ Chamba. Come early (between 7 and 9:30!) for beginner’s salsa lesson/practice, a special screening of Tamara’s Cuban shortfilm “Fireflies” and a special “sneak peak” live performance by Cuban musician Onelvis “Hierrito” Fernandez. Then stay to dance your feet off til midnight to DJ Chamba’s super energetic salsa and Latin tunes! 1) Bailamos St. Johns is having a Free Salsa Practice this Saturday Nov 2/13 from 6-7pm. Not just for their students, everyone welcome!
4th floor rehearsal room Arts and Culture Center.
This is not a class. This is an opportunity for dancers, with a minimum knowledge of the basic steps, to get to practice together. All level dancers welcome.
2) The countdown has started for DJ Marcelo‘s next Latino Fiesta Nov 2nd at Annexe!!
Come early for Merengue, Bachata, salsa and reggaeton basic lessons from 9-10pm with Annia La Cubana & DJMarcelo! Then party from 10pm til 3am!

ONE: Salsa (Technicalities and Shines) and Cha Cha (Basics) Workshop
Sat. Oct. 12 6pm-8pm, 4th Floor Rehearsal Room, Arts and Culture Centre
–> 6-7 pm Session 1 – Salsa Technicalities and Shines
This session is for Both the Beginner 1 and 2 class. Anyone with a good knowledge of the basic steps and beginner turn patterns are welcome to attend.
–> 7-8pm Sessioin 2 – Cha Cha Basics
This session is for EVERYONE!!! Add another dance to your repertoire or bring a friend who wants to try out something new. No experience required, no partner required.
